About Me
I am an ER physician living in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies - Calgary. I wear a couple of different hats. As a clinician I work in the adult emergency rooms. I am a single dad - navigating the challenges and personal growth that comes with this.
I am passionate about building people into the best versions of themselves. I have a strong medical education background as the former Co-founder and Assistant Program Director of the University of Saskatchewan FRCPC emergency medicine residency program. I am also a human being. The challenges, mistakes, failures and successes I have experienced inspired me to share them by blogging, tweeting and more recently transitioning into the world of performance coaching. I am actively trying to use coaching as a vehicle to change the culture of medicine, end burnout and improve patient care. I use this site to share my thoughts on coaching in medicine, but I have also recently made a leap into tech innovation. If you're a physician - you can join me on this journey at www.doctorevolution.org
I believe that we're never done growing. Still on my list of things to achieve are to publish a book, learn to be an outdoorsman, learn how to surf, ride a motorcycle, study at Oxford or Cambridge one day and maybe learn Kung Fu! I welcome all comments and questions.
