Celebrating Inner Brilliance

Got a nice surprise from the internet today - a note from a former client who was enjoying a quiet moment by a lake and was feeling very grateful. Her life, while of course not perfect, seemed so much better than before and this person felt that they owed me a debt of thanks for coaching her back to her path in life. She was able to reminisce with humour on many 'partial combustions' (tears and emotions) during our coffee-shop conversations.

Yes -it pleases me greatly to hear those words (as it validates me as a human trying to be good). It also provides me motivation to continue to change the world the only way I know how - by empowering every person I meet - perhaps tipping the balance towards global wellness in medicine.

BUT the lessons here are:
  1. I was simply a conduit. I coached her when I only had ten or twenty hours of coaching under my belt - which proves my hypothesis that mentors in medicine CAN coach others with very little formal experience in coaching - all you need to learn is how to hold open a space for a person to talk and reflect.
  2. It was HER who had the courage to be in process. It was HER who indulged me in the exercises we did.  Most importantly it was HER who believed in her power to create a more meaningful life out of the fear, hurt and anxiety - that was truly the magic to behold!
  3. You and I are no different - we all have the capacity to create something better from the dissatisfaction we are experiencing right now. Have a coaching conversation - its that simple.

Well, you have to find your own authentic path in order to utilize your innate talents and stand out in the world. Every individual has specific zones and environments in their lives where they flow without special intervention. Where they feel like the moment stops still and a significant purpose and power flows through them. Sometimes you feel unsure about your talent. And remember one thing- your unsureness will never allow you to grow. Well, in that case, hiring a competent coach will be advantageous. Because he can help you to overcome your unsureness and make you able to stand in your own light and power.

"More than just titles, being a clinical educator and life coach is Dr. Lalani’s passion. I know for certain that his unique qualifications; experience and communication skills will change the lives of many" Dr KP
"There is a huge amount of anxiety around our licensing exams. The coaching I received helped me to get into the correct mindset in the days before the exam. It really helped me to shift my focus  to ensuring that I was eating, sleeping, and thinking in a way that would allow me to perform my best." Dr BT
"I owe one of my jobs to Nadim. Just prior to the job interview I was feeling overwhelmed and lacking confidence. I called Nadim and he coached me for the interview. As we talked, his coaching really helped me put into perspective my skills, experience and vision. Having Nadim help me with the big picture put me at ease and I felt calm and confident going into that interview" Dr MW
